-CCP create a 40,000 Aurum item that allows a complete respec but it has a 12month CD before it can be used again
-Give every existing character 1 untradeable version of this item
-For any new character created after this has been done they will recieve 1 untradeable version of this item when they hit 5m SP, this will allow new players to try out various weapons suits etc to get an idea about how they want to play and what they want to specialise in so that when they hit 5m SP they can then use their SP wisely .. this would actually give new players the safety net that they need and not force them to spend another 6 months grinding sp to rectify mistakes they made in their 1st 2/3 months of playing
With all the constant nerfing, buffing of the existing items within the game as well as the lack of content that we have right now which means there is still going to be alot added (we don;t even have racial variants of all suits and weapons still) there is no way this game can keep rejecting respecs, either stop changing the items we currently have in game so that the things we skill into actually stay as the things we originally skilled into or keep messing around with the current stats and give the players respecs so they aren;t stuck with something that you have made useless |

Ya did read that I said every1 is given a free untradeable version as a once only offer and new players are given 1 for free at 5m sp right ??
An optional respec every 12 months at the cost of 40k Aurum seems fine to me .. |

It's funny that for someone who defends the use of proto gear in pubgames on the basis that they have it and can afford to use it so why not , however you criticise ppl for spending money on an incomplete game when you can apply the same logic .. it's their money they earnt it so they can spend it how they want ... OH .. WAIT A SECOND ... you protostomp and therefore you justify your actions with that reasoning on the 1 hand however .. you can't afford to spend money on a game to pay for a respec therefore you criticise anyone else that does .. now I see ..

PS I said everyone gets 1 free and new players get 1 free at 5m SP .. you only actually pay for an optional respec after the initial free 1

Respecs are fine as long as there is no FOTM to worry about. I found it a hassle to redo ALL of the core skills again, when all I wanted to reset were my previously good, then nerfed, weapons.
Though I wouldn't mind regain some the SP I have spent on vehicles or drop suits.
Having a 12 month CD would completely nullify that issue |

I said in the OP every1 gets a free respec item and they can choose when they activate it so they can use it straight away or save it til a later date and use it when something they want comes out .. |

The game will always be tweaked and added to, when is the game going to be finished? Core content. We don't even have all the racial dropsuits, vehicles, and weapons yet. Once those are out, we should all get a respec.
That'll be months away I can;t wait another 6 months to get a respec .. if 1.7 doesn't have a respec then this game is getting replaced ..
